HEPA FILTER:
Also known as lifetime filter. However, it's still recommended to replace it from time to time. When your HEPA filter is dirty, it will not let through the air easily, which can result in lower suction power and overheating motor.

You can wash this filter to increase its lifetime.
It's a good idea to change the filter if replacing the motor or plaster dust was picked up.

PRE-MOTOR FILTER:
A sponge type filter saves the motor from dirt and dust that escapes from the dust canister. Also washable but needs to be replaced from time to time.
