1. Pile height and look
Shorter piles (about 10–20 mm) suit balconies and high-traffic paths. Mid piles (around 25–35 mm) look more lawn-like for backyards. Check colour tone in midday sun — greens read differently under Aussie UV.
2. Drainage, base and edges
